WHERE BEST TO GO FOR THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYSEASTER HOLIDAYSFalling sometimes in late March but mainly in April, Easter is normally fairly dry in our Central American destinations of Costa Rica, Belize and Panama prior to the start of the rainy season. April is the driest month for Borneo, and the beginning of the dry season for Madagascar, Brazil and the Seychelles. It can also be a good time to visit the Galapagos Islands: in mainland Ecuador the rainy season would have just begun so it should not be too wet then. SUMMER HOLIDAYSBorneo, Madagascar, Brazil and the Seychelles are all well into their dry seasons during the UK school summer holidays, and very pleasant to visit at that time. Although within their rainy seasons, summer can be a good time to visit Costa Rica, Panama and Belize, since the rains usually last for short periods followed by sunshine, and the wildlife is more active. In Costa Rica, the drier north west region is a good bet for beach relaxation, and should be largely rain-free. The worst rains in Central America fall in September, October and November – hurricane season. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYSOur three Central American countries - Belize, Costa Rica and Panama - are all excellent destinations to visit over the Christmas and New Year period, their most popular season. It is also the best time for a Sri Lanka family holiday. Mainland Ecuador is fine at this time, although the Galapagos Islands can be hot and a little rainy. IMPORTANT - REMEMBER TO BOOK EARLYSchool holidays are times of peak demand for tourism in general and family travel in particular. Therefore, the least expensive flight classes and the better lodges and resorts are often booked far in advance. Our tours are Tailor-Made, which means firm reservations for flights and accommodation are only made at the time of your booking – that is, we do not block-book seats and rooms in advance. Therefore, it is strongly advisable to book your family holiday as early as is practicable. If your children are of pre-school age, there is scope to travel off-peak, which would avoid the higher costs of peak travel, and enable you to book later. Many of our tours are very suitable for younger children. Please call 01803 866965 for more information. RAINFALL CHART
Chart shows average monthly rainfall for areas specified. Please read the introduction of each country for more detailed descriptions or call 01803 866965 to speak with one of our specialist advisors. The chart is presented purely as a guide. Please bear in mind that weather patterns can fluctuate wildly from year to year, particularly during El Niño events.

Thank you for arranging such an incredible holiday. As soon as I landed in Tana I knew I was going to love the country; I was right and a part of my heart is still there - and I can’t wait to go back. [Your representatives] were great... thank you once again.’ Miss N T- London SW9
